You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deuteronomy 11:19)

- Catechism at home is often poorly done, if done at all
- Yet the forces that will assault your children grow, even from the best intentioned of teachers, youth leaders or pastors, and the media
- The risks have risen, with the availability of all the lies of the world that can tailor themselves to the interests and personality of your children
- At the same time, parents have become more busy, less well-trained, and often have a poor foundation themselves to begin with

- It’s a means of effectively teaching so that it takes root
